Seasons for Growth

‘Seasons for Growth’ is a peer support programme dealing with the loss of a significant person through death, separation, divorce, location etc.

We are very lucky to have two members of staff who are trained Companions for the ‘Seasons for Growth’ programme. Mrs Nicola Blythin and Mr Graham Blythin facilitate small groups of children – 6 to 8 participants.

It is an excellent programme:

  1. Develops skills for coping, problem solving and decision making.
  2. Educates about the grief process.
  3. Helps restore self-confidence and self-esteem.
  4. Builds a peer support network.

A specific year group at a time is offered this programme during the school year.

The sessions are held during the school day in our Rainbow Room which is situated in the school building.
