Year 2

Our Year 2 teacher and Deputy Headteacher is Mrs Lynn Pepper who is assisted in the classroom by Teaching Assistant Mrs Sharon Davies and 1:1 Support, Mr Keiran Evans

My name is Lynn Pepper and I qualified as a teacher in 2005.  I have spent most of my teaching career at Ysgol Melyd, where I had experience in both KS2 and the Foundation Phase, teaching a   wide range of children from years one to six.  I have also worked in various schools across North Wales on a supply basis

I very much enjoy teaching with my favourite subjects being music and mathematics.  I play a few instruments and enjoy singing which encouraged me into leading the choir in my last school,           Melydee, to a wide range of performances and even winning various competitions!

In my spare time I love to be outdoors, either mowing the grass, gardening or driving my digger.  I have two wonderful daughters who are both currently at university and a fantastic husband who shares my interest in music, though he favours playing the drums.

I am very much looking forward to fulfilling my role as Deputy Headteacher and to continuing my life long learning.

My name is Sharon Davies and I am the Teaching Assistant in Year 2.  I have worked at the VP since 2004, starting in the Afterschool Club, and also doing supply within the school.

In September 2009 I began working part-time in the Nursery class and then in September 2014 I achieved a full-time position and moved into Year 2.

I have 2 teenage children, Keiran and Bethany, and a dog, who all keep me busy.  Any spare time I do get, I like to spend at the gym which I have just recently joined, socialising with                   friends and watching films.  I also love watching football and am a lifelong Manchester City fan.

My name is Keiran Evans, and I have been working at St Asaph VP since April 2015 as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant.  I really enjoy my job and love being able to work with children.

Away from work I spend most of my time with my family, I have 2 wonderful children, my son Harley and my daughter, Amelie.

I have a real passion for football and play a lot in my spare time, I also run the after school football sessions at school, every Wednesday afternoon.  Aside from football I play numerous other sports such as badminton, tennis, golf and snooker and also enjoy listening to music.
