Our Reception teacher is Miss Lisa Maddox who is assisted in the classroom by Miss Danielle Owen, Teaching Assistant.
Hello, my name is Miss Lisa Maddox and I am the Reception class teacher.
I qualified as a teacher in 2014 after completing my PGCE at the University of Chester. After graduating, I worked in a number of schools in North Wales on a supply basis in both the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2. This was a fantastic opportunity for me to develop as a teacher by working in a variety of settings with different children and staff.
Much of my teaching experience has been in the Foundation Phase, working mainly with children in Nursery and Reception. It is wonderful to see the enthusiasm children display from this early age and the progress they make throughout the year. I love teaching and I am so pleased to be working in such a lovely, caring school.
In my free time I like spending time with family and friends, going to various fitness classes at my local gym and walking my little Yorkshire Terrier. I really enjoy being outdoors, exploring new places and taking in the beautiful scenery of North Wales!
Hello, my name is Danielle Owen and I work in the Reception class as a Teaching Assistant. I also work with small groups of children and individuals on Interventions.
I started working at the VP School as supply in September 2016 and have recently achieved a full time position at the school in February 2018. I thoroughly enjoy working at the school and I also work in Breakfast Club.
In my spare time, I like going on walks and spending time in the outdoors. I also like going to the cinema and socialising with friends and family. I also enjoy cooking meals and sweet treats like cupcakes and brownies. I enjoy watching F1 on the weekends to support the British champion Lewis Hamilton. I also like music and my favourite band are The Killers whom I have recently seen live.
Hi, my name is Michelle (Chelle) Jeanes. I am a qualified Nursery Nurse and obtained my NNEB in 1985 in Yorkshire. I have worked in partnership with children and parents for 32 years, and I continue to learn alongside them everyday and really love being a part of their life journey. It is so special to see them grow and develop.
I have lived in Wales since 2001, when my husband and I relocated to North Wales. We love the Welsh countryside which we explore and visit with out families and friends.
I love spending most of my time with my family and friends, eating out, listening to music and making memories together.
I am honoured to work here at St Asaph VP Infants and work with such a great team of people.
