Our Nursery teacher is Miss Kate Hall who is assisted in the classroom by Teaching Assistant, Mr Kevin Cross.

Our Nursery sessions run from 9am to 11.30am. Many of our Nursery children then attend Playgroup Plus, at St Asaph Community Playgroup which is run in one of our school buildings, until 3pm.  For more information about Playgroup, please contact Mrs Tracey Edwards on 07745 944402.

My name is Kate Hall and I am the Nursery class teacher here at St Asaph VP School.  I joined in January 2015 after teaching on Anglesey in 2011.  At the school on Anglesey, I taught Phonics across the Foundation Phase as well as teaching in Nursery class.

When I am not in school I enjoy walking my dog.  As I am new to the area, I have had lots of fun exploring the walks in the Clwydian Range and seeing all the beautiful sights this part of North Wales has to offer.  As well as that I enjoy singing, reading and horse riding.

I have a cat and dog at home who are very entertaining and I spend a little bit of time every week trying to teach my collie new tricks!

I really enjoy my job, with the challenges it presents, and feel very lucky to be part of such a wonderful team!

My name is Kevin Cross and I am the Teaching Assistant in Nursery class as well as Caretaker for the school.

I am married with two grown up children.  Both my children, and my wife, are all former pupils of the VP School whilst I went to school in Denbigh.

My main interests are cycling, football & walking.  I was fortunate to obtain an allotment, when the new allotments were opened here in St Asaph, where I love to spend time growing vegetables.

My name is Clair James and I have been working as a teaching assistant in the school for nearly 6 years.  I first started working as a lunchtime supervisor in another school and then gained the post of part time T.A. in Nursery class here at the VP School.  I have taken several courses to improve my knowledge and expertise during my time working in the school.  I have been employed on a full time basis for two years and have worked with children from all the class years.  I adore working with children, and there isn’t anything more satisfying than helping a child progress and making sure they feel secure and happy.

I am 40 years old with 3 children, 2 dogs and 1 husband!  I love cycling, walking and reading when I get time!!
