Non-teaching Staff - Mrs Grube - School Administrator, Miss Owen - Cleaner & Breakfast Club Supervisor & Mrs Roberts - Cook

Hi, my name is Freda Grube and I am the School Administrator.  I have been administrator here since January 2009, it is a great job, very busy and no two days are ever the same.

I am from Manchester originally but with various jobs have lived in West Sussex and Germany too.  I moved to St Asaph in 2005 with my husband, Steve, and son, Sven, who started in the Nursery class here at the VP in September 2005.  Sven is now in the 6th Form at Eirias High School in Colwyn Bay.  When Sven attended the VP I became a member of the PTA and was also a Parent Governor so have always been involved with the life of the school.

My previous jobs have included being a Croupier in a Manchester casino, working as an Au-Pair in what was then West Germany, and as a Childminder.  My longest job to date was as Airline Cabin Crew, a job I adored and which I did for 15 years.   The job gave me the opportunity to visit lots of fantastic countries and cities around the world, meet some fascinating people, and just before I finished I went on a 'Round the World' trip for 4 weeks visiting such places as New York, Guatemala to visit the ancient Mayan pyramids at Tikal, Peru, Easter Island to see the mysterious Maoi statues, Australia where I visited Uluru (Ayers Rock), Samoa, Cambodia to see the Killing Fields, Jordan to visit Petra, India to visit the Taj Mahal, Egypt and finally finishing in Norway to see the Northern Lights - it really was the trip of a lifetime!

My favourite things to do away from work are travelling - still so much to see, and supporting my beloved Liverpool Football Club which I have done for over 40 years despite being born, brought up and living within 5 miles of Old Trafford for 30 years!!!!

My name is Emma Owen and I am the school cleaner and also work in the mornings as one of the Breakfast Club Supervisors.

I was born in Germany where I lived for 7 years and have fantastic memories of my wonderful childhood there.  I recently moved to St Asaph after spending most of my life in Buckinghamshire.  I love this area and enjoy exploring various beaches along the North Wales coast with my son, who in September 2018 started in the Nursery Class here at St Asaph VP and also attends St Asaph Community Playgroup here at the school some afternoons.

My name is Hayley Roberts and I am the School Cook here at the VP School.  I joined the school in 2015 and before that I was the cook at Ysgol Trefnant.  My job is very enjoyable and I love watching the children enjoy what I have cooked from our menu - they especially enjoy the puddings!

I am married to Phil, we have two children and two wonderful grandsons who we love to spend time with.  We enjoy going out for meals and having days out with our grandsons, going to the beach and finding miniature railways as they both love all things about trains.
